Snow Days and Anniversaries :)

Life has been pretty busy lately. Not that I am necessarily complaining. Snow has fallen school has been out. I have had a 3 year anniversary with my wonderful boyfriend :)

First things first. SNOW!!! 2 snow days in 2 and half weeks!!! I like school but i don't mind a few snow days here and there, I won't say no to a few days of sleeping in and not getting up before the sun!

This snow day was a little different and better for me though. Most snow days I just get to sit in my house by myself and chill but this time I got to spend some of it with Eric :) I was excited to say the least :) We had dinner with his family and played cards...but most fun of all ...WE MADE SNOW CREAM!!!! Hignight style. This meant we colored the snow cream green. It was still just as tasty.

Eric and I also had our 3 YEAR ANNIVERSARY this past week it was wonderful. I am so thankful that God has blessed me with a man that is so caring, loving, compassionate, and godly. i couldn't ask for a better man to be my bestfriend and boyfriend :) This year we went to Macaroni Grill for lunch and saw a movie (we like to keep it simple) we also exchanged gifts.  Then Eric surprised me with Tim Hawkins tickets. Tim Hawkins and his friend Bob Smiley were in town and performing tonight at Hope Church. We went and laughed until our sides hurt. It was one of the best dates I could have asked for :)

BUSY DAYS!

Alright friends...well its been a while since i posted because I have been so busy. Much has happened and I will have to come back with a full in depth blog about it all later. Just wanted to hit a few highlights real quick so some of you know that I indeed have not fallen off the face of the planet.

In school we have been drawing blood alot to get ready for our real jobs. This consists of sticking people and drawing blood at least ten times a day AND it also means holding out your arm to be stuck about 10 times a day. I don't have a needle phobia so this isnt a problem for me, although my sister swears she would pass out and cry.  Anyway, most people in my class have been getting bruises and sore arms and big strawberry looking things on their arms from the multiple pokes and sticks....well upon looking at my arm the other day everyone in my class was very jealous of me because after two days and at least 20 sticks all in the same arm this was the result....

ys that one little red spot is all i have to show from multiple need pricks some of which got blood and some of which didn't.

On a more serious and slightly less "icky" note. I am sort of disappointed in myself because I have fallen behind in my Chronological Bible readings....however...its because I have fallen in love with this book.

This book is AMAZING! It has a devotional for every day...and GOd sure has been "winking" at me as my wonderful mentor Mrs. Ruthie would say because this book always seems to have just what I need on the day of the year that I need it. Talk about God's amazing love for us huh!.

I wil def. have a more up to date post about everything that has been going on but this shall suffice for right now. :)

Welcome Carson James Dommert

While in Mountain View Arkansas to visit Eric's extended family we got to welcome a new little life into the world. So this week we welcomed Eric's new little nephew Carson to the world. I may just be biased because he is my boyfriends nephew but I honestly think he is one of the cutest little babies in the world. :) We are all so happy he came  and I think he is too.

We also rang in the new Year with his family :) (and played alot of trivial pursuit a new version called Bet you know it) It's a great game :)

It was a great Christmas Break. We welcome each other back at school today by drawing blood. We just dove on right in there I guess. :)
